I hate bahn mi!!

For a minute I thought we have a troll that wants to start a banh mi war lol.

I see a lot of misspelled banh mi even in articles written in respectable publications or well-known writers. Most of the time it's bahn mi as you have it. Aren't there any editors working anymore?

Sorry to say but this is the reality for pho, banh mi and many "ethnic" food that becomes popular in America. There'll always be those who love to talk about their newly "found" trendy food but never care enough to learn much about it, how it's pronounced or written.

Yea I see some references to banh mi online but it looks kind of weird. Turns out it's misspelled as bahn mi or sometime bann mi.

Also Bon Me or Bun Mee or Ban Mee aren't helping. No wonder non-Viet people are confused.
